Turn locking ring counter clockwise and slide it back on the wires. Then just pull the bulb out and un plug it. When you put the new one in make sure you don't touch the glass bulb with your fingers when reinstalling it. Oils on your hands getting on the bulb can cause the bulb to fail pre- maturely. Reverse procedure for installation
