How to you change a headlight bulb on a 2003 passat?

open the hood, on the back of the headlight assembly, there is a plastic cover, retained by a plastic clip, carefully remove this cover, then unplug the back of the light, remove the retention ring by turning it about 30 degrees, remove the bulb. install is reverse, but be careful not to touch the glass of the bulb with your fingers, as it will burn it out a lot sooner.
