i thought it would be simple like all the other cars ive had, but it kinda looks like you have to take stuff out jus to change the low beams. in my s10 i had all i had to do was jus twist and pull and change, so what xactly do i need to take out step by step. thanks for the help, ive only had the car for bout 3 monthsHow to change headlights bulb in 2005 altima? Not to hard. Remove the windshield washer filler pipe and coolant resv twist counter clock wise and pull up. Reach in and turn the gray plastic cover that covers the bulb passenger side. Drivers side you remove the air filter intake pipe across the radatior and take off the air flow meter pipe and remove the air filter box by lifting straight up. then access the gray plastic cover. Mechanic tip, mark that gray cover with a sharpe pen closed position and open posistion. That way you know where it will close properly and where you reinstall it. The bulb has a red and black wire red to the bulb and black to a little metal ground under the metal spring that holds the bulb and ground to the reflector. Do not touch the glass on the new bulb. I hope you bought two from the nissan dealer for the other side that will fail at a latter date. How to change headlights bulb in 2005 altima? It's not too terribly hard, but harder than your S10!

The easiest way is to go in through the inner fender liner - Raise front of car, remove front wheels, detach fender lining, and go at it.

Or just open the hood and scrutinize over the head light area, no matter what, don't touch the bulbs with your fingers (the new bulb can be ruined if touched and the old one might be hot).
